Avocado stumps are no joke. The root systems on these trees spread wide and dig deep, which makes them one of the more stubborn stumps to deal with. A lot of homeowners try to work around them or ignore them - but that stump isn't going anywhere on its own.
Here's what we were working with: a wide, gnarled avocado stump with thick lateral roots fanning out in every direction. The kind of stump that trips people up, kills lawn equipment, and makes it basically impossible to do anything useful with that area of your yard. We ground it down clean, breaking through all that dense hardwood until the area was flat and workable again.
The after is what it's all about. That spot that used to be a hazard and an eyesore is now an open, level patch of ground with wood chip mulch mixed into the soil - ready for grass, a garden bed, a new tree, or whatever the homeowner has in mind. No more mowing around it. No more stubbed toes.
Stump grinding is one of those services that people put off way longer than they should. And we get it - out of sight, out of mind. But once it's gone, you wonder why you waited. Whether it's an avocado, an oak, a palm, or anything else, we have the equipment and experience to handle it cleanly and efficiently.
